I'm the host of this little science show. 
At 49 years of age, I can use all the brain power I can get. Certainly I would welcome mental implants of some kind. In Arthur C. Clarke’s last 2001 series, the characters had just this sort of thing. He called it “getting your braincap”, much like you’d add an extra hard drive and memory upgrade to your computer.
Debilitated as my brain might be getting, however, I know enough to take at least slight offense at being called a “minion.” “Peons” or “subjects…” won’t work either. Otherwise, always interesting show.

The smart chip in the brain sounds like a great idea, the added memory storing capacity alone makes me want to run out and get them implanted with no delay…
But it would all depand on how they are marketed… my fear would be that the chips would be cheap to get, perhaps even free, with the understanding that your dreams would then be populated with pop-up advertizemnets…
